Forktail does not sell personal information or use financial data for third-party advertising. The website has no ad trackers.
Connection tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Optional voice, logs, and feedback screenshots are clearly identified before they are sent.
A few honest answers
Forktail can organize spending and plans, but the core experience is different: it protects upcoming responsibilities and shows what is safe to spend now. You can still inspect categories without having to manage dozens of rigid category limits.
No. Forktail is an informational and planning tool. It reads the account data you authorize but does not initiate bank transfers, trades, or payments.
Forktail currently uses Plaid and is adding direct institution access through Akoya. The provider or financial institution handles the sign-in experience; Forktail does not store your bank username or password.
No. It is an estimate based on the latest available balances, transactions, due dates, plan assumptions, and the protection level you choose. You can review and edit the inputs, and should confirm time-sensitive balances with your financial institution.
